I would like to welcome Jo Adams, Tiffany Haywood and Julie Roark who joined Savannah Equestrian over the summer. Whether dressage, showjumping or Natural Horsemanship is your passion we have the dedicated staff to help you attain your goals.
Assessment Lesson
It's your first step to riding at Savannah. You'll register your details at the office before your lesson starts, and then be introduced to your horse, and instructor.
If you're a beginner, the instructor will teach you the fundamentals of safe Horse Riding, and you can continue your learning with further Private Lessons.
If you can ride, we'll put you through basic exercises to ascertain your level of riding. Together we will put together a lesson plan for your next few lessons.
Private Lessons
A Private Horse Riding Lesson is a One-to-One session with an instructor. These are suitable for both total beginners right up to experienced rider's. The duration of a private lesson is 30 minutes
Semi Private
A Semi Private Lesson is 2 people to 1 Instructor, it's not intended for total beginners, both riders should be able to walk and trot proficiently. The duration of a semi private lesson is 45 minutes.
Group
You'll be practicing different exercises, to improve your riding and gain great confidence and horsemanship. A Group will typically have 6 riders to 1 instructor (often less). The minimum requirements for the majority of Group Lessons is proficient Walk and Trot with some Canter experience, sometimes we offer Beginners Groups (with leader), until all riders in the group reach a safe standard where they can control the horse themselves. Group Lessons are really great fun, gives you the opportunity to learn off others and a great way to continue your riding experience after Private Lessons. For the majority of group lessons the duration is 1 hour, with the beginners group lesson being 30 minutes.
Jumping
In jumping we offer Private (30 minutes maximum) and to a Group of 4 riders (60 minutes maximum). There is a height limit of 3ft whenever a Riding School horse is being used. Jumping lessons focus on jumping class skills, typically strides, pace, balance and maintaining good rhythm.
Handler Led Horse and Pony Rides
If you're looking for a taster, we offer a 30 minute handler led Horse and Pony Ride for both Adults and Children. We can usually accomodate group sizes of up to 6 people.

These are where the instructor rides along side you. They are a great way to learn.
